Cascade Medical Center Addition and Modernization

Project Update, January 6, 2010

Cascade Medical Center awarded their Addition and Modernization project to Levernier Construction of Spokane, Washington on August 11, 2009 and work commenced shortly thereafter.

Levernier has focused on the Phase 1, construction of the new addition, which will house the new upper level clinic, new main level acute facility, and lower level ambulance and mechanical and electrical areas with anticipated completion scheduled for late August this year.

To date, the Addition footings and foundations are complete, as well as the North elevator structure.  Eighty percent of structural steel and floor decking is complete, the lower level main HVAC units have been set, and electrical service rough-in is complete.  Levernier is currently completing the South stairway casing and when complete, they will finish erection of structural steel.  Mechanical and electrical installations continue.

Following completion of Phase 1 and the District’s move-in, Levernier will commence Phase 2, which involves renovations and modernization to the lower and main levels of the existing hospital facility and the addition of the main entry, and lobby along Commercial Street.

Phase 3 will follow shortly thereafter and will include renovations of the existing hospital adjacent to Commercial Street and house the new Physical Therapy department, which will include the therapy pool as well as upgrading the exterior facades to comply with Leavenworth’s Bavarian Theme.
