Cascade Medical Center Addition and Modernization
Project Update, February 4, 2010
Mild Weather has allowed construction of the Cascade Medical Center’s
new facilities to continue un-hampered as Levernier Construction moves
forward toward completion of the 1st Phase addition.
To date, much of the addition’s structural work is nearing completion
with fire proofing of the structural elements anticipated to commence
mid-month. All floors have been poured with exception of the lower level
ambulance bay; all mechanical air handling units have been set in the
lower level and at the mezzanine. Stairs at both ends of the addition
are nearly complete. The Mechanical and Electrical subcontractors are
currently in the process of laying out of ductwork, and installing
plumbing infrastructure and electrical branch conduits.
As weather improves, you will be able to see the installation of
exterior wall framing and sheathing as well as roof installation.
The District anticipates installation of various hospital related
systems commencing mid-July of this year. Installation of furnishings
and equipment is scheduled for the latter part of August with
anticipated occupancy of the new clinic and acute area by early
September.
Following completion of Phase 1 and the District’s move-in, Levernier
will commence Phase 2 which involves renovations and modernization to
the lower and main levels of the existing hospital facility, addition of
the main entry/lobby and Bavarian upgrades along Commercial Street.
Phase 3 will follow shortly thereafter and will include renovations of
the existing hospital adjacent Commercial Street to house the new
Physical Therapy, Therapy Pool and Laboratory Facilities. |
